Five-year-old Andrew Murphy of Benson, N.C., was involved in a lawn mower accident in 2014 and almost lost his leg. He spent two months at UNC Children’s Hospital and underwent several procedures and then months of intense physical therapy. Thanks to Carolina for the Kids, Murphy has memories of his time in the hospital that don’t focus on his injury. That’s what UNC Dance Marathon is all about—raising funds to help children at UNC Children’s and their families have a better quality of life.
