Honoring Carolina’s commitment to service

At Carolina, we recognize and embrace the importance of our founding mission of service to the state. It is in everything we do and is driven by our extraordinary students, faculty, staff and friends who relentlessly pursue a better life for all North Carolinians.

On the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Carolina Center for Public Service — and the 226th birthday of our great University — Marjorie Bryan Buckley ’62 and her husband Walter W. Buckley Jr. made generous gifts in honor of the center’s director, Lynn Blanchard M.P.H. ’85, Ph.D. ’89. The Buckleys’ gifts will increase the impact of multiple programs that support student engagement and service within North Carolina.
