Living Out School Pride

“Being a Tar Heel was always in my blood! Growing up 30 minutes from Tobacco Road, there was always pressure to pick a ‘side’ and somehow, I picked the best shade of blue. I grew up dreaming of becoming a Tar Heel, and lived out my dream in 2011 when I moved into Craige dorm.”

“I give to the UNC Band Gift Fund because of what the Marching Tar Heels did for me. I was able to travel to eleven states, spending the highs and lows of Carolina Athletics in a role built to support the team no matter what. I want future Marching Tar Heels to experience the joy of truly living out school pride. The band program gave me leadership opportunities and confidence in myself, shaping who I am today.”

“The Band Gift Fund allows the marching band and other ensembles to provide music and support for athletics and beyond. Donations make it possible to take a small band across the country during the NCAA basketball tournament, a large band to a regional football game, provide halftime shows at Kenan Stadium and cultivate school spirit at special events.”

“I give because generations of alumni before me made this program possible, and I want future students to have the same opportunity.”

“My four years at Carolina were nothing short of amazing, and I couldn’t imagine any other place to experience college. I wouldn’t trade a single moment in this journey.
