The Confidence to Succeed

“Having a successful college career, in a sense, has just given me confidence about what I can be thrown into and then come out of. I’m going to take that with me in everything that I do.”

As a senior at Carolina, Kenny Selmon ’18 ran the fastest time in the nation and the fifth-fastest time in the world in the 400-meter hurdles. His time on the track team taught him that practice, repetition help lead to success. He applied those same lessons to his work in the classroom as a UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School student. And now, he’s ready to translate that into the real world.
